Management Team
Ken Avery
Ken is the President and National Sales
Manager of Residential Advantage Building Systems. He has
been involved in various facets of the structural
insulated panel business since 2002, working as a
manufacturer, builder and consultant on a wide range of
commercial and residential projects.
Ken's consulting projects include the
Green Mobile Project, an environmentally friendly,
affordable SIP housing project run by the School of
Architecture at Mississippi State University as well as
the North Midtown Community Development Corporation of
Jackson, MS. Additionally, Ken managed a crew of volunteer
workers in the erection of a SIP’s home on the gulf coast
for Habitat for Humanity.
Previously, Ken was a residential and
light commercial builder in the Jackson area; he has also
worked as a CPA. Ken graduated from the University of
Southern Mississippi with a BS in Accounting.
Matthew Avery
As the Plant Manager for Residential
Advantage Building Systems, Matthew is responsible for the
operation and maintenance of our production facility.
Matthew also oversees our panel delivery and installation
services. Previously, he was a Technical Representative
for Hardie Board, servicing the Gulf Coast region. Matthew
has prior experience in the SIP's industry, having
operated a production line and consulted on panel
installations in the greater Mississippi area. Matthew
graduated from Mississippi State University with a BS in
Accounting.
Craig Lipka
Craig Lipka has been involved in a wide
range of real estate, finance and mortgage related
businesses. Craig is an experienced builder and developer
of residential, multi-family, brown field and commercial
properties in the greater New York City area. Prior to
1995, Craig was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse First
Boston where he managed the Mortgage Products Group.
The Mortgage Products Group was
responsible for the originating, trading, and distribution
of residential, asset-backed, and commercial products
inclusive of performing, sub-performing, and
non-performing loans. Craig was the driving force behind
the creation of the Praedium Fund, focused on
non-performing real estate investment opportunities
emanating from CSFB’s banking clients. Additionally, Craig
was the Head of Fixed Income Risk Committee and a member
of the Fixed Income Operating Committee during his tenure
at CSFB.
Greg Parseghian
Greg Parseghian is the former Chief
Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Freddie
Mac and a longtime financial services executive. Greg
joined Freddie Mac in 1996 and departed the firm in 2003.
He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment
Officer of Freddie Mac, where he was responsible for the
day to day management of the Funding and Investment
division, which ran the firm’s $570 billion portfolio of
retained mortgages. He was later promoted to Executive CEO
and President of Freddie Mac.
Prior to Freddie Mac, Greg was a
Partner and portfolio manager at BlackRock Financial
Management. Previously he was a Managing Director at both
Salomon Brothers and the First Boston Corporation, where
he worked as the senior strategist in the firm’s Fixed
Income Research Department. On six occasions Greg was
ranked first team on Institutional Investors All-American
Research poll for Fixed Income and Mortgage Strategy. Greg
graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S.
in Economics, summa cum laude, and received his M.B.A.
from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
John Philosophos
John Philosophos is a founder and
Managing Partner of Wellspring Capital Advisors (WCA), a
federally registered investment advisor. Wellspring is
involved in a number of real estate development and
private equity ventures; additionally, WCA co-manages the
Milestone Advantaged Municipal Fund (MAMF), and provides
consulting services in the structured finance and
insurance company asset management arenas.
John has over 24 years of experience in
the investment industry, having worked at Credit Suisse
First Boston, Drexel Burnham, Bear Stearns and William
Blair and Company as a fixed income salesperson. John
earned his B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, where
he also attended graduate school.
Rocky
Rocky is the Director of Security for Residential
Advantage Building Systems. He is a highly intelligent dog
who is passionate about his work. Rocky is a Malenois,
alternately known as a Belgian Shepherd; previously he was
with a soldier who has since shipped off to Iraq. |
